Proactive Communications' certified engineers and telecommunications experts can tailor enterprise-class solutions for a wide range of requirements, including emergency response and business extension or continuity. We use proven off-the-shelf components to reduce cost and apply industry best practices to design, build, test, deploy, and support systems that specifically meet customer's needs.
Private and internet access: Proactive Communications has international agreements in place for redundant internet access at each of the five teleports. We can provide private or US public network, US "friendly" and foreign public IP networks, and/or augment or integrate any satellite network with terrestrial circuits, MPLS, or commercial grade VPNs.
PCI can deliver Single Channel per Carrier (SCPC); single, multiple node or dedicated Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) network services from any its five collocated core service stacks around the world. Company owned and operated equipment is collocated at Kapolei, Hawaii; Mt Jackson, Virginia; Aflenz, Austria; Fucino, Italy; and Adelaide, Australia. Each teleport has dedicated internet access, emergency power, redundant RF components, and is serviced by a 24x7 Network Operations and Security Center.
Proactive Communications can design and deploy wireless networks to both distribute the network and/or create the mobility environment your require. Mobility services can support tablet computer sand wireless VOIP.
Proactive Communications can design and deploy terrestrial links and MPLS. We can integrate the end to end Quality of Service engineering so that the entire network is functioning optimally.
Proactive can provide highly mobile and flexible solutions that integrates voice and data through the Inmarsat constellation.
Domestic and international telephone services delivered over the Internet: Proactive provides managed Cisco telephony services, supported by engineering, operations, administration, and management capabilities. PCI provides a complete range of Cisco telephony infrastructure, networks, and telephone devices. Additionally, PCI offers customers Direct Inward Dial, Local and Long Distance trunks, US and international dial capabilities and rates, Personal Identification Numbers (PINs), and Cisco Unified Communications. PCI's customers can also take advantage of surveys and analysis, recommendations for optimization, upgrades, and lifecycle maintenance / replacements. As requested, PCI can also provide Voice Engineering staffing, Inside and Outside Plant installation, and telephony remote management.
When requested, PCI offers its customers telephony solutions - with devices connecting back to Proactive data centers or solutions with Cisco Unified Communications Manager Express (CUCME) call control and Cisco Unity Express (CUE) for sites with 450 or fewer voice users. This type of solution is built on Cisco's second generation Integrated Service Routers (ISR G2) CUCME version 8.0 and CUE version 7.0. PCI's VOIP solution provides for feature robust services with local, onsite, voice and voicemail. PCI has deployed and supports more than 100 CUCME sites for customers in Afghanistan alone.
For very large sites, PCI can support 10,000 users and beyond through the deployment of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) call control and Cisco Unity Connection (CUC) voicemail. This solution can be built on Cisco's second generation Integrated Service Routers (ISR G2) voice gateways, CUCM version 7.1 and CUC version 7.1. It provides feature robust services with onsite, VOIP and voicemail. PCI has deployed and supports numerous CUCM clusters for numerous customers across the globe.
Onsite at domestic and overseas locations: Proactive can fully staff, augment, or provide subject matter expertise to customers with trained and certified technicians, engineers, program managers, or enterprise consultants across the range of IT fields. These fields include desktop support, routing and switching, security, Voice, information assurance, as well as logistics. PCI has a vetted candidate review, hiring, training, and deployment system, and we have supported Firm Fixed Price, Time and Material, and Cost Reimbursement staffing contracts. Proactive can also provide personnel with security clearances when required.
Satellite baseband, node hardware, Local Area Network infrastructure/hardware, Wide Area Network infrastructure/hardware: The Proactive worldwide network is Cisco centric with internal baseband equipment made up of iDirect eVolution hubs and ComTech modems. This baseband equipment is augmented by Riverbed acceleration, McAfee Intrusion Detection/Protection Systems and St. Bernard/iPrism Content filtering service appliances. Each core teleport network infrastructure stack is wrapped by Cisco carrier class routers, switches and security appliances. The five teleports have redundant means of electricity and in-ground fuel tanks as well as diverse internet paths. The worldwide network and connecting segments are monitored by a 24x7 Network Operations and Security Center. PCI observes the network and each customer through NetFlow, SolarWinds, and other industry-best monitoring tools.
Local Area Network infrastructure is Cisco powered and designed to meet the needs of the customer. Networks have multiple layers of security and support on-demand growth. Field-proven enablers such as professionally installed grounding cables and bus bars as well as programmable UPS appliances provide the most robust LAN deployment scenario for the customer.
Proactive maintains an IT lab for the design and testing of new solutions. Hybridized reporting appliances support diverse monitoring features that can be exported to customer-facing secure web portals.
